Michelle Duval MA CRC, OCDS
My name is Michelle Duval and I have been a clinician for over 20 years working with a variety of people bringing with them a vast array of human challenges.
My goal for each person is to encourage them to realize their inherent dignity and profound intrinsic beauty. As well as holding a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Therapy, I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.
In addition, I am a Secular Discalsed Carmelite and currently taking part in a postgraduate degree in Spiritual Direction through the Carmelite lens. I would be honored to accompany you on your journey to fullness, wellness and joy. I provide a warm supportive, non-judgmental space to freely vent and process concerns, while offering practical tools and strategies to manage/alleviate symptoms. I regard my clients to be the ultimate authorities/experts of their own lives and liken my role as therapist to a “fellow traveler”, joining you wherever you’re at with compassion, acceptance, and authenticity. I’ll help you overcome obstacles to access the resources you already possess and develop those that are yet to come forth. I believe there are many paths to wellness. My specialty however is faith-based counseling.
Whatever difficulties you might be facing, remember that they you don’t have to face them alone.
Mary E. Hadley, LRC
I have had the privilege of working with individuals with developmental disabilities for decades, in a variety of positions. Following my graduation from Holy Cross College, I ran group homes for Cardinal Cushing School in Hanover, MA, and after moving to the New Bedford area, I worked as a Rehab Counselor at Harbor (later to become Lifestream). After obtaining my master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Assumption College, I helped establish the Developmental Disabilities Clinic at the former Parkwood Hospital, which was later taken over by St. Luke’s Hospital. For the last 20 years, I have been part of the Developmental Disabilities Clinic at Gosnold as a Rehab Counselor. I look forward to joining MOLIFE’s new counseling agency whose sole focus is on individuals with disabilities and their families.
I am actively involved in several ministries at my church, St. Francis Xavier Parish in Acushnet. I am on the Board of Directors of Community Autism Resources, the Human Rights Committees of the Nemasket Group, the Gottschall Access Program and Comprehensive Mental Health Systems, and a member of Bridges to Faith in New Bedford.
Bert St. Germain
I specialize in working in groups and individual counseling. I have a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling and worked in the Psych Triage unit for 9 years.
